These folks know how to scramble to get a point of order together, to lobby governments, and to have it absorbed into social policy.

Luckily for me, their look down the road of Canadian cannabis legalization is not as dark as mine. I hope they prove me wrong across the board. We sure did turn over a lot of questions to get to some good resolution.

Off to a cranky start after some bastard cancer back spasms, I was able to regain my noble pursuit of the Truth, with Noble Extracts’, CEO Cam Noble.

Plus, a beneficial surprise! We are also joined by Next Leaf Solutions’ ‘Alex the Chemist, which is a great name for an alchemist, which he most certainly is. 

Cam’s father suffering from prostate cancer drastically altered Cam’s original career plans, driving him instead to research cannabis for his health. Our spirited discussion detailed political positions on cannabis, its social and ethical values,  as well as the science of health. Thank you for reading the most boring introduction to one of the most intriguing and heartwarming episodes to date. I didn’t want to give away the ending.

Legalization,  decriminalization and re-criminalization of cannabis laws can get very confusing with all the jurisdictions of the world differing and bickering over what is best.

One of the most radical of those law-changing lands, is Portugal. They keep a relatively low profile internationally and it’s often difficult to find out what’s going on there with their drug policies – surprise… They are much more free and supportive than almost anywhere on the planet.

Returning guest, Author of the incredibly informative book, “Vitamin Weed”, Dr. Michele Ross, has recently returned from Portugal to give Green Crush an expert, inside and birdseye view of the differences. These are improvements over Western societies views regarding cannabis, and other “Drugs“.

Saskatchewan is where they groom every one of Canada’s finest Royal Canadian mounted cops, who can create a world of trouble for people using cannabis - simply by choosing to remain ignorant on how that stuff works. Alicia Yashcheshen has personal experience on how the devastation of car accidents and subsequent pain/drug remedies can damage ones physical constitution.

Alicia recounts how she dropped into, and later self-rescued from, “allopathic medicinal hell“. These same knowledge tools are available for everyone, who bothers to look for them.

How very often our governments will tell us cannabis is dangerous, is reflected in their seeming policy - denying it to war veterans - because - "it's dangerous". Somehow figuring with their sober minds, that Iraqi or Afghani invasive combat etc., is less dangerous than a plant, that is effective in pain and PTSD reduction, if not elimination. 

Sgt. Joshua Lee and his wife Julia - a counsellor, and mental health therapist in trauma - relay Josh's story of experiencing much anguish from his post-war, 27 different daily medications. This was a result of his time overseas in the military. Fascinating and insightful, the two are advocates Veteran's Alliance for Compassionate Access, and they have done their homework - for sure, it's a fascinating listen.
Bill Blair is confused about his confusing pending legislation, Zimbabwe is going legal weed, there's a surplus in Oregon so it's cheap - and Lester Grinspoon at 89 years old, MIGHT be getting the recognition he much deserves - Hey Lester, we certainly recognize you - please come on our show!
